TRADITIONAL HOMEMADE TARTAR SAUCE – It’s a perfect dip for fish, meat, eggs or sandwiches. I always say that a good sauce will bring out the dish’s true character

TRADITIONAL HOMEMADE TARTAR SAUCE


Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp natural yoghurt
  • 2 gherkins, drained
  • several pickled mushrooms
  • ¼ bunch of chive
  • ¼ bunch of parsley
  • 1 small or ½ large onion
  • 3 tsp horseradish
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • salt
  • black pepper


Method:

  1. Finely chop the mushrooms, onion and gherkins.
  2. Take a medium bowl and place the diced ingredients inside. Finely chop the chive and parsley, then add them to the bowl as well.
  3. Add mayonnaise, yoghurt and horseradish, then sugar. Season everything with salt and pepper for taste and mix well. Keep the sauce in a sealed jar, in the fridge.
