RECTOR’S HERRINGS RECIPE
- 4-5 herring flaps
- Small jar of marinated mushrooms
- 60 ml/¼ cup oil
- 1 onion
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- ½ bunch of parsley
- black pepper
- If the herring flaps are too salty, soak them in regular water for 5-6 hours, then drain the water. Slice herrings, drain and cut mushrooms into small pieces, peel and julienne the onion. Finely chop parsley.
- Take a bowl and put herring slices inside. Follow up with mushrooms, onion, oil, lemon juice and parsley. Season with pepper for taste and and mix everything well. Put the bowl in the fridge for around an hour for the flavors to mix.
