SIMPLE CHOCOLATE TART – EASY RECIPE – deliciously chocolate with a nice and crusty base. A great choice for the cake on Easter celebrations. It’s my own recipe for a dough using mayonnaise.
SIMPLE CHOCOLATE TART – EASY RECIPE
Ingredients:
- 190 g/1 ½ cup wheat flour
- 100 g/3½ oz butter
- 3 tbsp maynnaise
- 3 tbsp powdered sugar
For the chocolate cream:
- 100 g/3½ oz dark chocolate
- 100 g/3½ oz milk chocolate
- 80 ml/3 fl oz whipping cream
Additionally:
- 25,5 cm/10 in tart pan
- chocolate eggs or other sweets, for decorating
Method:
- Take a large bowl and pour the flour inside. Add the butter, mayo and sugar, then form a soft dough. Line the tart pan with it and put to rest in the freezer for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 190°C/370°C
- Put the pan straight into the oven for around 20-25 minutes, until it turns golden. Leave the base to cool down
- Prepare the cream to fill the pastry: Melt the chocolate by having it in a bowl submerged in hot water, adding the cream around halfway there and mixing well
- Pour the chocolate filling over the cool base. When it rest a little as well, decorate the tart with some additional sweets or however you seem fit. Put the pastry in the fridge for few hours before serving
