AMBROSIA CAKE – EASY RECIPE
Ingredients:
- 4 eggs
- 200 g/ 1 cup sugar
- 175ml/ ¾ cup oil
- 250 g/ 2 cups wheat flour
- 1½ tsp baking powder
- chocolate chips
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- powdered sugar
Method:
- Make sure that all the ingredients are in room temperature. Grease a 28x10cm/11x4in rectangular cake pan and line it with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F
- Crack the eggs into a mixing bowl and add sugar, then stir until the mixture becomes white and fluffy
- Pour the oil into the bowl slowly, constantly mixing while doing it
- Finish mixing. Add the flour, vanilla extract and baking powder then whisk well, manually. Add the chocolate chips and stir again
- Pour the dough into the cake pan and spread it evenly. Bake for about an hour (test the cake by inserting a skewer into the center, if it comes out clean the cake is done). Use powdered sugar on top after the cake cools down
