LEMON AND YOGHURT LOAF CAKE RECIPE – Really simple and quite delicious loaf cake recipe that always works 🙂
LEMON AND YOGHURT LOAF CAKE RECIPE
Ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 280 g/2¼ cup flour
- 200 g/1 cup sugar
- 250 ml/1 cup yoghurt
- lemon peel grated from one lemon
- lemon juice from ½ lemon
- 180 ml/¾ cup oil
- 2 tsp baking powder
- powdered sugar for dusting
Method:
- Make sure all ingredients are in room temperature. Grease and line a 20×12 cm/8×4½ in loaf baking pan. Preheat the oven to 180°C/360°F.
- In a large bowl put the eggs. Add the yoghurt and oil, then lemon juice and lemon peel. Mix everything well.
- Take another bowl and pour the flour inside. Add the sugar and baking powder then stri well as well.
- Put the liquid ingredient mixture into the dry ones. Mix with sugar until everything connects well.
- Take the loaf pan and pour the dough inside. Bake for around 60 minutes (stick a skewer in the middle to know if the cake is ready. If it comes out dry, it is done)
- Cool down the cake a little on a wire rack. Dust with icing sugar before serving.
