CRUNCHY WAFFLES – BEST RECIPE
Ingredients:
- 250 g plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 500 ml milk
- 75 ml oil, plus extra for greasing the waffle iron
- 2 eggs
- a pinch of salt
Method:
- Separate the yolks from whites.
- Into the mixing bowl pour the flour, baking powder and sugar. Add milk, oil and yolks, then mix everything thoroughly.
- Put the whites in another bowl, add a pinch of salt and whisk it until a foam is formed. Add the newly acquired mixture to the previous ingredients and mix it again.
- Oil and heat up the waffle iron. Fill it with batter and cook for around 5 minutes (if the iron has lower power it should be cooking for longer, until the waffle comes out crunchy). Waffles should be served right away.
