BUTTER CRUMBS & STRAWBERRIES ROLLS RECIPE – Sweet and quick rolls that don’t use yeast. Making them takes only 10 minutes! Just few ingredients and you have a perfect side to your coffee, breakfast or a snack 🙂
BUTTER CRUMBS & STRAWBERRIES ROLLS RECIPE
Ingredients:
- 375 g/3 cups flour
- 100 g/½ cup sugar
- 400 ml/13½ fl oz kefir
- 1 tsp baking soda
- several strawberries, around 100 g/3½ oz
Butter crumbs:
- 60 g/½ cup flour
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 40 g/1½ oz butter
Method:
- Make sure all ingredients are in room temperature. Preheat the oven to 180°C/360°F.
- Take a large mixing bowl and put flour inside. Add sugar, kefir and soda then knead everything well.
- Portion the dough and form rolls from each part (should form around 9 from those proportions). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and put the rolls on it.
- Press a glass bottom on each roll to flatten them a little, then make a cross cut with a knife on top. Cut the strawberries into small pieces and softly press them inside the rolls.
In a separate bowl mix together ½ cup flour, 3 tbsp sugar and butter with your hand until they become crumbs. Sprinkle those crumbs on top of the rolls.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until they start to brown.
