ROYAL CHEESECAKE – BEST RECIPE – delicious, homemade cheesecake always loved by my family. Recommended for any festivities



  • 375 g/3 cups flour
  • 300 g/1½ cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 300 g/10½ oz butter

Cheese cream:

  • 1 kg/35 oz soft cheese
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 200 g/1 cup sugar
  • 200 g/7 oz butter
  • 2 x 40g/1½oz instant pudding
  • 7 egg whites


  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/360°F. Grease a 23x33cm/9x13in baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
  2. Take a large bowl. Put all ingredients for the dough inside (flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, cocoa, baking powder, butter and egg yolks)
  3. Mix and knead the dough well. It should become crusty, if not add bit more flour.
  4. Take half of the dough and line the bottom of the baking pan with it. Bake for 20 minutes.
  5. In the meantime, prepare the cheese filling: Into a mixing bowl place the egg whites with a pinch of salt and mix until they become soft and foam-like. Set it aside to a different container, you’ll need the mixer again.
  6. Put the butter into the mixing bowl. Add egg yolks and sugar then mix on medium setting. After few moments start adding the cheese, one spoon at a time.
  7. Add instant pudding and keep mixing until all the ingredients merge. After that turn off the mixer, pour the whipped whites inside and softly stir well with a spatula.
  8. When the base is done take it out of the oven, let it cool down a little, then Pour the cheese mixture over. Spread it evenly and put another layer with the remaining dough.
  9. Bake for 40 minutes. After it’s done let it cool down in the oven with the door open.
