SAUSAGE AND PORK PASTA – TASTY RECIPE – It’s a common occurrence to have a spare sausage or other smoked meat laying around the fridge in every Polish household, so developing recipes that utilise it is very practical, and combining it with few simple ingredients can lead to a pretty tasty dinner 🙂

SAUSAGE AND PORK PASTA – TASTY RECIPE


Ingredients:

  • 1 smoked sausage or a bit of smoked meat
  • 300-500 g/10-17 oz minced pork meat
  • 1/2 medium onion
  • 3-4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small chilli pepper
  • 3-4 tbsp white wine
  • 1/2 bunch of chive
  • tomato passata
  • 2 tsp marjoram
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • pasta, for serving
  • parmesan cheese, for serving


Method:

  1. Cut the sausage into thin half slices, chop the onion finely.
  2. Heat up the olive oil on a large pan, then put the onion with sausage on it. Chop the chilli pepper and chive finely and add them to the pan once the onion turns golden. Pour half of the wine in too.
  3. Place the minced meat in a separate bowl. Add marjoram and soy sauce, season with salt and pepper, then mix well. When you’re done move it all to the pan.
  4. Pour the remaining wine and cook over medium heat stirring from time to time, until the meat browns a little and you can’t see any raw, pink spots.
  5. Add the tomato passata to the mix by your preferences (I added around 200/7 fl oz) and heat up until it starts to boil.
  6. Cook the pasta in accordance to the producer’s instructions. Pour the hot sauce over it and serve sprinkled with grated parmesan
