RICE STUFFED MUSHROOMS RECIPE – A great snack that can be served both hot and cold. Simple, tasty solution for any party 🙂



  • 6 large mushrooms
  • 1 large tomato
  • 200 g/7 oz grated cheese
  • 150g/5¼ oz cooked rice
  • 50 g/1¾ oz butter
  • bunch of parsley
  • 2 onions
  • 2-3 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp marjoram
  • salt
  • black pepper


  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/360°F. Peel and dice the onion nicely. Clean the mushrooms, remove and finely chop the stems. Cook the rice and grate the cheese. Finely chop parsley.
  2. Heat up the oil with butter on a pan over medium heat. Once it melts, add onion and cook it into golden color. Then, add chopped stems, season with salt and pepper and cook for few minutes.
  3. Add rice to the pan and stir the content well. Then add half of your cheese, season again with salt and pepper for taste, as well as marjoram, and mix well. At the end throw chopped parsley, leaving some for final decoration, mix again and keep cooking until the cheese melts and merges everything.
  4. Take a cap and fill it with prepared stuffing to the brim. Line them in a baking dish, edge side up. Sprinkle the rest of cheese on top of each cap, followed by a tomato slice and some more parsley.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes. Can be serve either hot or cold.
