SPOTTED PLUM CAKE RECIPE – Delicious, spotted cake with plums. Extremely easy to make 🙂 Perfect for an afternoon snack or any occasion 🙂
SPOTTED PLUM CAKE RECIPE
Ingredients:
- 4 eggs
- 200 g/1 cup sugar
- 180 ml/¾ cup oil
- 500 ml/17 fl oz kefir
- 375 g/3 cups wheat flour
- 2 tbsp cocoa
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 500 g/17½ oz plums
- powdered sugar, for dusting
Method:
- Make sure all ingredients are in room temperature. Preheat the oven to 180°C/360°F.
- Put eggs, oil and kefir into one bowl and whisk it well with a fork. In a separate bowl mix together flour and baking powder.
- Pour the liquid ingredients into the dry ones and mix well (with a spoon or spatula, do not use a mixer). Take a third of the created batter and move it to another container, then mix it with cocoa.
- Grease and line a 20×30 cm/8×12 in baking pan with parchment paper. Pour the two thirds part of the batter, the one without cocoa, inside. Pour the chocolate batter in small batches around the pan to make the “spots” with it. After that stick seedless plum halves into the cake.
- Bake for 45 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
