TURKEY ROULADE DINNER RECIPE – This roulade is a perfect for a weekend meal 🙂 And a great party treat 🙂 It melts in your mouth!

TURKEY ROULADE DINNER RECIPE


Ingredients:

  • 500 g/17½ oz minced turkey meat
  • 1 egg
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • marjoram
  • 1 clove of garlic, pressed
  • 1 onion
  • 1-2 tbsp bread crumbs
  • 8 thinly sliced ham
Stuffing:
  • 2 pickles
  • 100 g/3½ oz gouda cheese
  • 100 g/3½ ham
Additionally:
  • 3 tbsp clarified butter
  • 200 g/7 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 6 small young carrots
  • 2 tbsp chopped dill


Method:

  1. Put the meat in a bowl, add egg and season with salt, pepper and marjoram for taste. Peel and grate the onion, then add it to the meat along with pressed garlic. Mix everything well, add bread crumbs and knead again.
  2. Lay a sheet of food wrap or parchment paper on a flat surface, move the turkey mixture there and form a rectangle with it. Julienne the cheese, ham and pickles, then lay the pieces down in the middle of meat. Carefully roll the roulade, then wrap it in thin ham slices.
  3. Heat up the butter on a pan over high heat. Fry the roulade on each side. Lower the heat to medium-low, then add sliced mushrooms and whole carrots around the meat.
  4. Season everything with salt and pepper for taste, then simmer until the mushrooms and carrots are soft (keep turning the roulade from time to time to cook it evenly). Serve with freshly chopped dill on top.
