FRIED CABBAGE – EASY RECIPE – One of my favorite ways of preparing the cabbage. You can eat it both hot or cold and can serve as either a good snack or a light dinner 🙂
FRIED CABBAGE – EASY RECIPE
Ingredients:
- 1 small cabbage
- 2 eggs
- bread crumbs
- salt
- black pepper
- dried lovage
- oil
Method:
- Wash and cut the cabbage into quarters (If you have a big cabbage cut it into more pieces)
- Pour 2 l/68 fl oz water in a pot, salt it and bring to boil. When it’s boiling put the cabbage in, cook it for around 4 minutes then fish the pieces out and leave in a strainer for the water to drip.
- Beat the eggs in a bowl and add salt, black pepper and lovage for taste. On a separate plate or bowl put some bread crumbs. Roll each cabbage quarter in beaten eggs then cover it with bread crumbs.
- Heat up some oil over medium heat. Fry each cabbage piece on all sides until it turns golden. They serve great as a side but also a separate dish.
