HOMEMADE BANANA BREAD RECIPE – If you ever wonder what to do with ripe bananas then this is a recipe for you. Sometimes I even buy extra bananas just so that they go ripe and I can make this bread 🙂 It has great aroma, is nice and soft, and taste great when glazed with chocolate 🙂

HOMEMADE BANANA BREAD RECIPE


Ingredients:

  • 250 g/2 cups flour
  • 125 g/5 oz butter, plus extra for greasing
  • 100 g/ ½ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 3 very ripe bananas


Method:

  1. Make sure all ingredients are in room temperature. Preheat the oven to 180°C/360°F. Grease a 21×11 cm/8½x4½ in loaf pan and line it with parchment paper.
  2. Peel the bananas and mash or blend them. In a large bowl, stir together flour with baking powder and soda
  3. In a mixing bowl put together sugar with butter, then mix until it’s all white and fluffy. Keep mixing while adding eggs one by one.
  4. Gradually start pouring the flour mixture and keep stirring until everything connects. When done, add the mashed bananas softly mix the dough with a spoon.
  5. Pour the dough into the loaf pan and bake for 45 minutes. Dust the bread with icing sugar or glaze it with chocolate before serving
