CABBAGE SOUP – DINNER RECIPE – Soups are nutritious and healthy meals. Today I recommend to make this delicious, cheap and simple soup
CABBAGE SOUP – DINNER RECIPE
Ingredients:
- ½ white cabbage
- 1 carrot
- 1 parsley root
- 125 ml/½ cup sour cream
- 1 onion
- 1 cup dry beans
- 2 tbsp butter
- fresh coriander, for serving
Method:
- Soak the beans in water and leave for few hours (can also be left for the whole night)
- Peel the carrot and parsley root, then grate on medium holes. Dice the onion finely. Chop the cabbage finely
- Take a medium sized pan and put it on medium heat. Melt the butter on it then add the carrot, parsley root and onion. Cook under a lid until the vegetables are soft
- Drain the beans and place them in a large pot. Fill it with water so that the beans are submerged and cook on medium heat. After 15 minutes add chopped cabbage and fried vegetables
- Cook everything until the beans are soft. By the end of cooking season the soup with salt and pepper to taste
- Take the cream and add 2-3 tbsp of the soup to it, then mix well. After that pour it back into the pot and stir well. Serve the soup with freshly chopped coriander
