HOMEMADE YOGHURT SODA BREAD RECIPE
Ingredients (for 9 rolls):
- 375 g/3 cups whole flour
- 350 g/12 ¼ oz natural yoghurt
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp honey
- 2 tbsp linseed, plus extra for covering
- 1 tsp baking soda
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F.
- Take a large bowl and put all the ingredients inside. Mix well then knead, until you get a soft dough.
- Split the dough into 9, equally sized pieces, and form them into rolls. Then, place them on a baking sheet.
- Cut the bread on the top, it could be a cross cut or two parallels. Spread some cold water on top of each, then sprinkle with linseed.
- Bake for about 25 minutes, or until the bread sounds hollow when tapped. When they’re done, leave to cool down on a wire rack.
