HOMEMADE YOGHURT SODA BREAD RECIPE


Ingredients (for 9 rolls):

  • 375 g/3 cups whole flour
  • 350 g/12 ¼ oz natural yoghurt
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 2 tbsp linseed, plus extra for covering
  • 1 tsp baking soda


Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F.
  2. Take a large bowl and put all the ingredients inside. Mix well then knead, until you get a soft dough.
  3. Split the dough into 9, equally sized pieces, and form them into rolls. Then, place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Cut the bread on the top, it could be a cross cut or two parallels. Spread some cold water on top of each, then sprinkle with linseed.
  5. Bake for about 25 minutes, or until the bread sounds hollow when tapped. When they’re done, leave to cool down on a wire rack.
