HOMEMADE COLESLAW RECIPE – Everybody knows coleslaw. It’s a delicious salad that works as a side to any dish, standalone meal or even an everyday snack. Everybody in my family loves it. Its secret lies in its simplicity – preparation takes about 5 minutes



  • ½ white cabbage
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 onion
  • 3 tbsp mayonaise
  • 3 tbsp natural yoghurt or single cream
  • 2 tsp powdered sugar
  • 1 ½ white wine vinegar or lemon juice
  • salt, about ½ tsp
  • pepper, about ¼ tsp


  1. Wash the cabbage and shred or chop it finely, do the same for the carrot. Dice the onion finely and place everything in a large bowl, set it aside
  2. Prepare the dressing: pour mayo, yoghurt (or cream), powdered sugar and vinegar (or lemon juice) into a separate bowl. Season with salt and pepper then mix well
  3. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss it well. Coleslaw can be served right away or after spending few hours in the fridge, that way it’ll soften up
