GRANDMA AMY CUTLETS – HOMEMADE RECIPE – These cutlets are the real taste of my family home. Real cheap and even easier to make, and they taste delicious. Something for every fan of homemade cooking

GRANDMA AMY CUTLETS – HOMEMADE RECIPE


Ingredients:

  • 1 kg/35 oz potatoes
  • 250 g/9 oz cottage cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 75 g/¾ cup wheat flour
  • 1 onion
  • salt
  • black pepper

Additionally:

  • bread crumbs
  • thick cream or yoghurt for serving
  • fresh chive for serving
  • oil


Method:

  1. Peel the potatoes and boil them until they turn soft. When they’re done run them through a press or do it manually
  2. Meanwhile, dice the onion finely. Take a pan, put in on medium-low heat and warm up some oil on it. Fry the onion until they start going brown
  3. When the potatoes cool down add cheese, egg and flour to them. Season with salt and pepper for taste and mix well until you get a single mass
  4. From this mass form the cutlets, around 2-3 cm thick circles, and bread them
  5. Fry the cutlets on warmed up oil, on medium heat, from both sides until they turn golden. Serve them with a side of cream and sprinkled with chive
